Dr. Kaiser Jamil, PhD. Is Emeritus Scientist, Principle Investigator and the Head of Genetics Department at BMMRC, also Dean, School of Life Sciences, at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Advanced Studies (JNIAS), having published more than 290 papers in journals of repute and guided 32 research scholars for PhD degree. During the last decade following her instincts, she has taken up several projects related to human health, for ‘War against Cancer’. She has contributed in the field of Biomarkers in Breast cancer, Lung cancer, Leukaemia, and Head and Neck cancer. Her work on SNPs of drug metabolizing genes in cancers has been published in peer reviewed journals, unfolding the mechanisms of several genes and other genes which network with these genes, elucidated Drug-Gene interactions. She has also contributed on the role of some signalling pathways such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) and MAPK in haematological malignancies and HNC. Her research continues to unravel genotypes leading towards personalised medicine. Presently she is investigating the role of microRNAs is cancer diagnosis and gene-silencing technologies.

Prof. Bisen earned Ph.D in 1972 and was awarded D.Sc in 1981 After his postdoctoral work, he joined as Assistant Professor at Jabalpur University and was elevated as Associate Professor. He then joined at Bhopal University as a Professor of Microbiology in 1985. Prof. Bisen was Visiting Professor at Institute of Environmental and Biological Sciences, University of Lancaster, Lancaster, England and Visiting Research Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, The University of Illinois at Chicago. He was U.S. National Science Foundation Fellow at University of California at Davis and Barklay to work in the Department of Bacteriology on DNA recombinant technology. Prof. Bisen was WHO/ UNESCO Fellow for One Year at Institute of Microbiology, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Budejovika, Praha, Czechoslovakia; UNESCO/UNDP/ICRO and Hungarian Academy of Sciences Fellow at the Institute of Plant Physiology, Biological Research Center, Szeged, Hungary. He is honoured with Life Time Professorship of Bundhelkhand University, Jhansi, India and with the highest award of the Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, U.P.. He is also Honorary Professor of Biotechnology at Jiwaji University and is currently pursuing his research in the field of Medical Biotechnology as Emeritus Scientist at Defence Research Development Establishment, Defence Research Development Organization, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, Gwalior, India. Professor Bisen is the external scientific advisor to a Barcelona (Spain) based multinational company Biokit involved in the manufacture of Diagnostic kits and also the Chief of Research and Development Centre of an upcoming industry M/s Tropilite Foods based at Gwalior involved in Food Biotechnology developing several innovative products for food industry. Prof. Bisen guided sixty doctoral theses and has to his credit 175 publications in indexed International journals of repute. Over the years Prof. Bisen has been a leader in rapid tuberculosis diagnostics. He served as Director of a Technical Institute and Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India. He is honorary advisor to a number of Technical Instituions in India. He had been the member of the University Grants’ Commission, New Delhi and Member Task Force, AICTE, New Delhi consultant to National Organisations. He served a member of Governing Council of National Accreditation and Assessment Board for Indian Universities/Educational Institutions. He was in the Board of Directors in the United States Education Foundation in India, Fulbright Foundation, Member, Governing Council, Indian Institute of Advance Studies, Shimla. Member, Governing Council of National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, Member, Governing Council of Nuclear Science Center, New Delhi and Member of the Governing Council of CBSE, New Delhi. Dr. Boothman grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and earned his B.S. at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He did his graduate work in microbiology and immunology at the University of Miami Medical School, where he received his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Sheldon Greer. His research focused on the biochemistry and pharmacology of anticancer drugs, specifically 5-fluoro-deoxycytidine derivatives. He did postdoctoral research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard Medical School with Dr. Arthur B. Pardee. There, he investigated changes in several aspects of cancer cells before and after cell stress: cell cycle checkpoint regulation, molecular biology, and gene expression. His studies on β-lapachone as a radiosensitizer and DNA repair inhibitor began at this time. Dr. Boothman also discovered and cloned the first proteins and transcripts induced by ionizing radiation (IR). Dr. Boothman has trained 16 Ph.D. students, two M.D./Ph.D. students, and more than 40 postdoctoral fellows and residents, who enjoy positions around the nation and in seven different countries and in various aspects of scientific research.

Shahla Masood is a Persian born physician, who currently holds the positions of Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology at University of Florida College ofrnMedicine – Jacksonville and Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UF Health Jacksonville. In addition, Dr. Masood is the Medical Director of UF Health BreastrnCenter. An internationally recognized expert in breast cancer diagnosis and prognosis, Dr. Masood has fostered the concept of an integrated multidisciplinary approachrnin breast cancer care, research, and education. She is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Breast Journal, the founder and past president of the “International Societyrnof Breast Pathology,” the Director of the “Annual Multidisciplinary Symposium on Breast Disease”, and “The Breast Cancer Public Forum”. Dr. Masood is heavily involvedrnin the study of minimally invasive procedures such as fine needle aspiration biopsy and ductal lavage in providing diagnostic and prognostic information in high risk andrnbreast cancer patients. She defined the cytomorphology of high-risk proliferative breast disease in the early 1990s and has pioneered the concept of cytomorphology as arnbreast cancer predictor. Dr. Masood is the author of several textbooks, book chapters, and numerous publications. She is a frequent speaker at national and internationalrnsymposiums and consensus meetings. She is also a member of the board of trustees of several prestigious scientific societies and organizations at local, regional, nationalrnand international levels. Dr. Masood has received numerous awards and recognition for her scientific work, her contribution to advancing global breast health educationrnand her efforts to improve the quality of breast health care. She is the recipient of “The 2010 Breast Health Global Initiative Award,” “Courage to Teach Award” from NationalrnAccreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and Florida Times Union “Eve Award,” to name a few. She has been named as one of the Top Doctors in America,rnTop Doctors in Cancer and one of the 20 Top Most Influential Professors in Oncology at an international level. She was recently recognized at the 15 Year Anniversary ofrnRace for a Cure in Rome, Italy for her efforts in initiation of the Komen Italia, Race for the Cure. Magnus S Magnusson, Research Professor, University of Iceland. He did PhD in 1983, University of Copenhagen. He is the author of the T-pattern model regarding the real-time organization of behavior, co-directed a DNA analysis. Numerous papers. Talks and keynotes at international mathematical, neuroscience, proteomics, bioinformatics, religion and nanoscience conferences. Deputy Director 1983-1988 in the Museum of Mankind, Paris. Invited Professor in psychology and biology of behavior at the University of Paris (V, VIII, XIII). Since 1991, founder and director of the Human Behavior Laboratory in formalized collaboration with 32 European and American universities based on “Magnusson’s analytical model” initiated at University Paris V, Sorbonne, in 1995.
